To: My Trans Brothers, Sisters, & Siblings
As a creative I often believe in the sentiment Life Imitates Art and vice versa, when curating this set I wanted to capture the energy and brilliance of transitioning and self affirming in my art. I hope this honors our shared trans experience.
I specifically developed Bisou Bisou to personify my own transition and the complexity yet softness I have created within myself and see in others who walk our similar path. Rosé all Day reminds me that while sometimes something that can be viewed as unassuming or quiet can actually sparkle and shine as brilliantly as diamonds. I am fervently grateful to be able to make my art - and I wish for the day when all trans identifying individuals are safe, secure, and stable enough to indulge in these same luxuries.
As always, Trans is beautiful. Trans is valid. Trans is ancient.
